EXPLORE THE DEPTHS OF THEOLOGY FOR TODAY,

EXAMINE A RADICAL CHRISTIAN FAITH,

EXPECT GOD TO REVEAL HIMSELF TO YOU!

THIS YEARS SPEAKERS:

Mark Johnson

Mark is the priest in charge at St Tom's, Newtown.

Originally from Minneapolis in the USA, Mark’s ministry background was in leading a missions base for Steiger International and accidentally planting a church (The Salvage Yard) amongst

atheist kids, punks, artists, musicians, and hippies. Since 2015, Mark and his wife Kirsty and their two boys have lived in Newtown, Wellington where they help lead St Tom’s Anglican Church, an eclectic Jesus centred community that is deeply engaged in local ministry.

Dr Greg Liston

Senior Lecturer at Laidlaw College

Greg Liston has fifteen years’ experience as a Baptist pastor, and four years’ experience as a strategic management consultant, as well as PhDs in quantum physics and theology. Currently lecturing

in systematic theology at Laidlaw College, his ongoing research explores Third Article Theology, particularly the role of the Spirit in the life of the church. He is married to Diane with two teenage children.

Dr David Chaplow

Forensic Psychiatrist

David was a former GP and is currently a general, addiction and forensic psychiatrist.

                    Today’s Kiwis struggle with:

                     • truth vs spin vs conspiracy

                     • a greater than ever socio-cultural-equity divide

                     • a relevance gap between church and society

Currently David and Ripeka live in Matapihi, Tauranga and worship at Mt Baptist.

He will be addressing topics that are difficult to discuss in a Sunday service!

Shaun Sutcliffe

Executive Director International Needs NZ

Shaun will speak on the face of international mission. We are all called to fulfil the great commission and whilst the challenges of the past few years may be seen to hinder mission, what is God actually doing through the outworking of indigenous local Christian leaders.

Inspired by the love that is found through Jesus Christ, International Needs is a worldwide mission supporting agency that supports indigenous leaders in spreading God’s love and message of salvation to the world. Being a Christian organisation that aims to help people in the world who are in the greatest need, regardless of race, religion, gender or nationality.
